Considering world cuisine, the Italians reign supreme.
Italy owns the best food in the world, regarding to data from the 2016 Best Countries rankings – a characterization of 60 countries based on a survey of more than 16,000 people from four districts.
No matter whether it’s simple and common spaghetti with meatballs or a complex or mixed risotto dish with truffles, Italian cuisine has dominated the minds, hearts and stomachs of the entire globe.
Italy claims the No. 1 spot on lists across the Internet, including those by CNN, Ranker, and Thrillist. As the Italian proverb goes, “A tavola non si invecchia,” or, “At the table, you don’t age.” They say the truth, you need just to taste it and won’t forget it.
Rounding out the top five are Spain, France, Mexico and Greece. They have also their own brilliant dishes.
Spain boasts jamón ibérico, gazpacho and churros while France brings baguette, escargot and macarons to the table. It’s wonderful.
